Refrigeration is rarely a comfort issue and almost always a commercial one. If a cold room drifts out of temperature overnight, a kitchen loses its stock and possibly its service. If a cellar cooling system fails, a bar sells warm beer and pours money down the drain. If a display cabinet runs warm, a retailer risks both product and food safety compliance. We install and maintain refrigeration with that reality in mind rather than treating it as air conditioning with a lower setpoint.

Design starts with the duty rather than the box. Product type, entry temperature, daily throughput, door opening frequency, ambient conditions and defrost strategy all change the load calculation, and a cold room stocked with warm product each afternoon needs far more capacity than the same room used as static storage. Panel thickness, floor construction, door type, lighting and shelving all feed into a system that holds temperature reliably rather than one that only just copes.
Equipment selection follows. Condensing unit siting has to consider heat rejection, noise for neighbours and access for maintenance. Evaporator selection has to balance air throw against dehydration of unwrapped product. Controls need sensible defrost scheduling, alarms that someone will actually see, and where food safety demands it, logging that supports your HACCP records. Increasingly clients also want remote monitoring so an out-of-hours alarm reaches a phone rather than an empty building.
Refrigerant choice is worth a conversation. Regulations continue to move away from high global warming potential gases, and specifying accordingly protects you from future servicing costs and availability problems. We will explain the options honestly, including where a lower GWP system carries a higher upfront cost and where it does not.

We provide service documentation and temperature verification you can place directly in your HACCP file, along with F-Gas leak check records for systems above the regulated charge thresholds. Environmental health visits are far easier when the paperwork is already in order.
